Why Stand The Gap Exists

Stand The Gap was born from lived experience and the belief that families deserve guidance, presence, and support long after the immediate crisis.

Stand The Gap was born from lived experience. After the homicide of my twin brother, my family and I were suddenly thrust into a world of grief, trauma, court proceedings, investigators, and unanswered questions.

While law enforcement focused appropriately on identifying and prosecuting those responsible, there was little guidance for the family left behind.

Stand The Gap was created to be that support for others. Through crisis case management, advocacy, resource navigation, and compassionate follow-up, we help families move from immediate crisis toward stability, healing, and hope.
